Spice Market is the most colourful local markets of Istanbul. No visit to Istanbul is complete without tasting Turkish delight from the Spice Market. It is famous for natural medicines, spices, saffron, seeds, Turkish delight, halvah, pastrami (dried meat), and all kinds of nuts.
Istiklal Street is the heart of Istanbul .It is both touristy and a local spot. It runs almost 2 km from taksım square all the way to famous Galata Tower. Approximately around 2 million people walk and shop at this famous spot.
Kadıkoy is the most dynamic district of the Asian side of Istanbul . It is a very local area if you wish to be away from the usual hustle and bustle of the main tourist spots, it is great option for you. You can find many of local restaurants, cafeterias, bars and, famous Turkish street food such as stuffed mussel, simit (Turkish bagel), fresh fruits and fish. You will soon feel like a local.
